Perum BULOG To Buy 135,000 Tons of Farmers` Rice

Perum BULOG for Lampung regional division is planning to purchase 135,000 tons of farmers` rice in 2010, and up to now it has bought 45,700 tons, a BULOG official said.

BULOG spokesman for Lampung, Eddi Hanif, said here on Tuesday that until June 10, 2010, BULOG had signed agreements for the purchase of over 48,000 tons of farmers` rice.

"The rice purchased by BULOG came from 14 districts in Lampung," he said. (kfs)
