Public interested in the rice market operation carried out by Perum BULOG Ternate.

The public interest of North Maluku province on the implementation of rice market operations (OP) was very great, indicated by the crowd of people buying BULOG OP rice.

"The enormous enthusiasm of the public for market operations can’t be separated from the quality of rice itself. It turned out that the rice type we offer in market operations on Ternate and the surrounding is very attractive, as evidenced by the stock was sold out entirely every day, " said Head of Perum BULOG Ternate, Faisal Assegaff.

Up to this day, the market operation in Ternate has reached 30 tons. The average distribution per day ranged between 1 to 1.5 tons. "It's true that the quantity of OP distribution is not as many as other regions, according to the number of people in Ternate and its surroundings." Faisal added.

Faisal further explained that the rice for market operations came from BULOG Tulungagung East Java to North Maluku through national movement mechanism in October 2009 of about 4.950 tons. Beside for market operations, this rice was also distributed to army/police group. (q / q)
